Business Continuity Plans
- High power server at the disaster recovery center to be loaded with your latest backup. This server will be partitioned, to provide your company with enough disk space for processing transactions in a secured environment for at least six months. Your business systems will be up and running within a few hours from the moment that you activate your Business Continuity plan by calling one of our Project Managers.
- Proper security and virus protection. Daily backups of your data while you are at the disaster recovery site.
- On-site experienced and certified software and hardware consultants will be available to assist your users with any questions or problems.
- In addition to the daily tape backups that you currently process at your location, we provide an option to have your backups also processed using a secured online storage facility. In case of a disaster, we will be able to download your latest backup from that service and restore it on our servers immediately.
- Firewall protected T1 access for your users who may want to dial in from remote offices or from home.
- A Computer/Laptop with Microsoft Office & E-mail for any user in need of one. Uninterrupted power supplies and backup generators.
- Office space to be available as soon as you activate your disaster recovery plan. Notification is done by phone to our office or a cell phone to one of our Project Managers.
- Our building is conveniently located 1/4 mile north of the Long Island Expressway and 3/4 mile south of the Northern State Parkway in Melville, NY. There is a cafeteria and a fitness center in the building.
- The building supplies ample parking at no additional cost.
Close proximity to banks, hotels, restaurants, post office, hospital, office supply stores, teleconferencing facilities, and the Long Island Rail Road.
- Access to the building is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. You will be provided with a passcode for after business hours access to the building.
- Office space includes furniture and office supplies. Secretarial services such as typing, database entry, copying, and filing are available on premises.
- Phones with individual extensions and voice mailboxes. Phones are answered by highly trained receptionists with call screening, voice mail, and call patching services. Each telephone set has the following functions: Volume, Hold, Hands Free, Call Transfer, Message Retrieval, and Conference Call Control. Ability to direct calls from your office to the Disaster Recovery Center.
- Professional front desk receptionists to greet and announce clients and guests. A comfortable reception area for clients and guests is available.
- Front desk can receive and send all your overnight mail, such as Federal Express, UPS, and Airborne, and also sort all your incoming mail.
- Three conference rooms and one high resolution projector are available for meetings and training sessions.
- The following is also available on premises: Copiers, Fax Machines, Pitney Bowes Stamping Machine, Shredder, Free Coffee & Tea, and Refrigerators.
- Off-site storage facility (1 mile away) that is climate controlled. Option to store your office supplies and files in this facility such as Check & Invoice Forms, Letterheads, and Copies of Insurance Policies & Contracts, to be used in case of an emergency.
- Remote Disaster Recovery Locations are available in mid-town Manhattan and in Saddle Brook, NJ. Your employees can use the offices and phone systems in those locations, and will be able to
dial into the main server located in Melville.

A full-scale customized written Disaster Recovery Plan will be prepared for you by a Disaster Recovery Specialist. The plan includes detailed instructions on how to proceed when disaster strikes, such as moving to the Disaster Recovery Site, accessing the computer system remotely, using the phones, and scheduling conference room time. Also included are lists of all employees and disaster recovery team leaders with addresses and phone numbers, and how to reassure customers and suppliers about the survival and viability of your company.
