New Alliance Integrates Communication Platforms And Offers Bundled Solution for Resellers
ACCPAC International, Inc., a subsidiary of Computer Associates, in partnership with Eicon Networks Corporation, today announced a new cost-effective, easy-to-administer fax server solution for mid-sized businesses, corporate enterprises and application service providers (ASPs).
ACCPAC FAXserve for Windows® and Netware® now supports Eicon's Diva Server media gateways hardware platform to deliver a reliable and scalable fax/unified messaging communications solution into the North American market. Eicon has released through Tech Data a hardware / software bundle of Eicon's Diva server and ACCPAC FAXserve. The Diva Server card is the world's first platform that allows companies to deploy fax, remote access (RAS), voice mail, wireless messaging (WAP) and voice-over-Internet (VoIP) applications on a single platform. By allowing fax and RAS applications to run simultaneously on the same hardware platform users benefit by the reduction of telephone lines, servers and hardware required to operate these applications.
With ACCPAC's award-winning FAXserve software, companies can virtually eliminate fax machines by allowing users to send and receive faxes directly from their PCs. Server applications can be integrated to this new solution to automatically generate faxes and archive them as electronic files. Additionally, to reduce costs and improve administration and management, fax hardware and telephone lines can be shared on the corporate network. FAXserve and Diva Server can be integrated with e-mail messaging products to help automate order processing and invoicing, and benefit many companies such as those in the real estate, medical and legal industries by eliminating paper faxing and providing anywhere fax access within e-mail.
