Enhancement ABC040: Shipping Labels with Item Information.
This enhancement allows for printing a specified number of Avery # 5164 (4x6, six to a page, two across and three down) labels on a laser printer with information from the Sales Order. It can be run at the time the Pick Ticket is printed or from a report menu.
In the "Label" tab screen of the "Customer" and the "Ship-to Address" cards, there are various options that control the label printing:
- Generate with Pick Ticket: The labels will automatically print with the pick ticket.
- Customer Address: The labels will print with the customer shipping address.
- PO No.: The Sales Order "Purchase No." field will be printed on the labels.
- Item No.: The Sales Order "Item No." field will be printed on the labels.
- Description: The Sales Order "Item Description" field will be printed on the labels.
- Use Cross-Reference: If entered, the Sales Order "Cross-Reference Item" field will be printed on the labels.
- Bar Code: A bar code of either the Cross-Reference or the Item No. fields will be printed.
At printing time, the system first checks the label tab of the Ship-to Address card. If there is at least one selection on that screen, the system will use that screen to determine how the labels are going to be printed. If there are no selections on that screen, the system will use the label tab of the Customer Card.
In Attain 3.0.1, the generation of the labels is initiated by selecting the Labels report from the Report menu in Sales & Receivables.

Labels will be printed for each line item on the Sales Order. The "BC C39 3 to 1 Narrow (True Type)" bar code font that can be found on the Navision CD is being printed on the Shipping Labels.
Example: An order has three line items with quantities of:
- Line 1: quantity = 10, print 10/6 = 2 pages (always round up).
- Line 2: quantity = 30, print 30/6 = 5 pages
- Line 3: quantity = 50, print 50/6 = 9 pages (always round up).
